The World behind the Looking-Glass

Elena has been into photography since childhood. In 1990 she won the 1st Gold Medal from the International Exhibition in Great Britain.
To date Elena has got over 150 gold, silver and bronze medals at different international photographic exhibitions and salons.
Photography&Imaging Yearbook, 2002 listed her the artist as one of the World Top 5 photographic artists.
May, 2006 Russian Photoartists’ Guild awards her Golden Eye of Russia title.
Prefers the black&white photography. Favorite genres are portrait, nude and underwater photography.
Presently works as an independent commercial photographer.
The World behind the Looking-Glass
The photography is about the surreal world coming into light of the photographic lens and daydream characters living in the worlds of their own. A mix of fairy tales, childhood fancies and artistic perspectives.
